Anthony Chukwudinma Nsofor is a Nigerian contemporary painter. After 3 years of artist residency   at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, USA, he has returned to his hometown Oguta, Imo Sate, Nigeria where he continues to research the art and cultural forms of his people and how they are presented in the context of our time. A graduate of Fine Arts from Nsukka, he began his career exploring the Uli tradition but has since evolved into an artist with a distinctive voice, untethered from the hallmarks of so-called "ulism." Nsofor stands out for his independence and his commitment to defining his own artistic identity.
